

British Cardiovascular Society Women in Cardiology Committee recruiting new Student Representative
BCS Women in Cardiology Committee: Student Representative Applications now open:
The Women in Cardiology (WiC) committee of the British Cardiovascular Society is seeking a new student representative. The WiC committee aims to increase the number of women training, working and leading in Cardiology.
Applications are invited from all medical students within the UK who have an interest in promoting women in cardiology. Find out more about our work here: https://www.womenincardiology.uk/
- This appointment is initially for a term of 2 years, with a possible extension of up to one year.
- Students should (ideally) have at least 18 months remaining until graduation at the time of appointment.
As the student rep on the Women in Cardiology Committee, your main responsibilities will be:
- Generating ideas for new projects to reach medical students and junior doctors.
- Helping to facilitate teaching sessions run by the committee.
- Attend monthly committee meetings.
- Engage with other medical schools, societies and students across the UK.
- Attend the annual BCS conference and help organising the WiC stand.
