Women in Cardiology (WiC) Work Recognised
A huge congratulations to the Women in Cardiology (WiC) Team, whose collective work has been recognised at a national conference.
Dr Cathy Holt, Women in Cardiology Program Manager, presented the work on ‘Increasing the Number of Women Working, Training & Leading in Cardiology’ at the Medical Women’s Federation (MWF) conference in Cambridge on Friday 16 May.
The WiC team’s work, which is currently led by Dr Joanna Lim, Chair of the Women in Cardiology Committee, was presented as a poster and highlighted the fantastic initiatives the team are driving to support existing women in cardiology and develop the women in cardiology pipeline.
Dr Cathy Holt said “Attending the Medical Womens’ Federation conference was inspiring and enlightening. It was an honour for the WiC team to be acknowledged and presented with the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson prize by Professor Dame Jane Dare, former President of the Royal College of Physicians and incoming President of MWF”.
